Interim terms — beta

Brecha Networks is in invite-only beta. These plain-language terms describe how the platform works today and are being reviewed by legal counsel; they may change before public launch. We'll update the date above when they do. This page is not legal advice.

1. Accepting these terms

By creating an account or using Brecha Networks, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the platform. You must be at least 18 and using the site in a professional or advocacy capacity.

2. What this platform is for

Brecha Networks is for healthcare professionals, builders, and policy people coordinating on access barriers. It is not a place to share personal medical experiences, to seek or give medical advice, or to post protected health information (PHI) about yourself or anyone else. Nothing here is medical, legal, or professional advice.

3. Your account

An account is required to post. You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email — keep access to that inbox secure, since it controls your account. You may use a pseudonym, but the role and experience you represent must be truthful. Self-declared roles are not independently verified by us at this stage, and the platform presents them as self-declared. You're responsible for activity on your account.

4. Acceptable use

Don't use Brecha Networks to:

5. Your content

You keep ownership of the barriers, comments, and other content you post. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, and share that content within the platform so it can do its job — helping the right people find each other. You're responsible for what you post and confirm you have the right to post it.

6. Moderation & removal

We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these terms or put others at risk. You can remove your own barriers, except where a working group has formed around one (so we don't erase a space others rely on). We aim to be fair and light-touch, but we run the platform at our discretion during the beta.

7. Connecting with others

When you connect with another member, you choose to share contact details with them. Treat other members' contact information and disclosures as confidential, and use them only to coordinate on the work.

8. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and how we handle it, including how to export or delete your data.

9. Third-party services

The platform relies on third-party providers (for hosting, email, DNS, and maps). Using Brecha Networks may also be subject to their terms. Maps are provided by Google.

10. No warranty

This is beta software provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, while we build toward a production platform. We don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any connection will lead to a particular outcome.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Brecha Networks is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, from content posted by members, or from connections made through it.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the platform develops and after counsel review. We'll change the “last updated” date, and significant changes will be flagged. Continuing to use the site means you accept the current terms.
