Cross-border families in the Sonora–Arizona corridor often want to keep their Mexican physician via telehealth after a relative moves or travels north. There is no binational licensure route: the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) covers U.S. states only, and Mexico is not a participant, so a Sonora license confers no authority to treat a patient physically located in Arizona.
